Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions outline how enrolments, payments, and participation work across all Play on Stage programs. By enrolling yourself and/or your child to Play on Stage, you agree to the following.
Program Fees
Term Based Classes
Fees are charged per school term and vary depending on the program and location.
Paddington Primary Drama Classes: $330 per nine week term inc. GST
Paddington Teen Acting Ensemble: $330 per nine week term inc. GST
Paddington Musical Theatre Classes: $300 per nine week term inc. GST
St Peters Lutheran College Classes: $297 per eight week term inc. GST
Oakleigh State School Classes: $275 per nine week term inc. GST
All fees are inclusive of GST. Please note that fees are subject to change on a term-by-term basis. Any change in fees will be communicated via email prior to the next invoice date.
If a student begins a term-based program after the term start date, or if a student is only able to attend a set number of sessions for that term, a pro-rata fee may be applied in consultation with the Director. Please note that an extended period of missed sessions must be communicated with the Director ahead of time. Pro-rata fees are not typically applied for short term absences, including illness, though individual circumstances may be considered at the Director’s discretion.
Discounted early bird fees may apply to term-based classes.
Holiday Programs
Student fees for holiday programs vary from program to program. Holiday program fees will always be inclusive of GST. Please visit our Holiday Programs page for up to date information.
Discounted early bird fees may apply to school holiday programs.
Enrolments
Enrolments are accepted toward the end of each term for the following term (including at the end of Term 4 in a calendar year for Term 1 the following year) and may remain open into the early weeks of the term, subject to availability.
Places in some classes are limited and may be waitlisted once capacity is reached.
Your child’s enrolment is secured once payment has been received.
Term Dates and Attendance
Play on Stage programs follow the Queensland school term calendar.
If a scheduled class falls on a public holiday, a make up session will be scheduled during week ten of the term.
Students are expected to attend classes regularly to support their development and participation in group activities, including the rehearsals of their end-of-semester productions.
Payments
Full payment for the term is required by the payment due date as outlined in the invoice, sent after student enrolment, unless otherwise stated.
Payment plans and payment extensions are available to parents and guardians who are unable to meet their invoiced payment deadline. However, this must be communicated to the Director prior to the invoiced payment deadline.
Enrolments are not considered confirmed until payment has been completed. Late payments may result in a pause in participation until the account is brought up to date.
Missed Classes
If your child is unable to attend a class, we ask that you notify us in advance where possible.
Missed sessions do not carry a refund or credit, except in exceptional circumstances, which must be discussed with the Director.
Withdrawals and Cancellations
If you wish to withdraw your child from a program, written notice is required. Withdrawals during a term do not automatically result in a refund for unused classes. In some circumstances, a credit may be considered at our discretion.
Class Environment and Expectations
Play on Stage is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
We ask that students:
Treat facilitators and fellow participants with respect
Follow instructions to ensure a positive group experience
Arrive on time and ready to participate
Parents and guardians are expected to ensure timely drop off and collection of students. If parents take longer than fifteen minutes to collect their student after the end of class, a $30 late collection fee may be applied.
Media Consent
Photos and videos may be taken during classes, rehearsals, and performances. These may be used for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes. No identifying personal information will be shared without consent. If you do not wish for your child to be included, please notify us in writing.
Health and Safety
By enrolling, you confirm that your child is physically and medically able to participate in drama and performance activities.
Any relevant medical or behavioural information should be disclosed at the time of enrolment so we can provide appropriate support.
Participation in classes involves movement and performance based activities, and all reasonable care is taken to ensure student safety.
Liability
Participation in Play on Stage programs, workshops, or performances involves a degree of physical activity.
By enrolling yourself or your child, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with participation.
Play on Stage takes reasonable steps to ensure a safe environment for all participants. While every effort is made to minimise risk, participation in drama activities involves movement and physical engagement. To the extent permitted by Australian and Queensland law, Play on Stage is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in our programs.
Changes to Programs
Play on Stage reserves the right to adjust class times, facilitators, or program structure where necessary. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, classes may be rescheduled or delivered in an alternative format where appropriate.
Any significant changes will be communicated to families as soon as possible.
